This site (thatjames.nl) is a personal blog run by me, James Dyke, based in the Netherlands. I take a minimal approach to data collection, and this page explains what little there is.

I don’t run analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising on this site, and I don’t use cookies. There are no third-party trackers embedded in any page.

The only data generated by your visit is standard web server logs (things like IP address, requested page, browser user agent, and timestamp), kept by my hosting provider for operational purposes such as diagnosing issues and keeping the site secure. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors and are not shared or sold to anyone.

If you get in touch via blog-inbox@thatjames.nl, I’ll have your email address and whatever you send me. I use this only to read and respond to you, and I won’t add you to a mailing list or share it with third parties.

Posts on this blog may link out to other websites. I’m not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, so it’s worth checking their own policies if you’re concerned.

As this site has a Netherlands-based operator, EU/EEA visitors have rights under the GDPR regarding any personal data I hold about them (for example, emails you’ve sent me). If you’d like to know what I have, or want it corrected or deleted, just email me at blog-inbox@thatjames.nl and I’ll sort it out.

If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. Given the simplicity of the site, I don’t expect that to happen often.
